The WI Calendar Girls.

We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Her Majesty The Queen. For over seventy years she has dedicated her life to service for her country and the Commonwealth, and been a figurehead of national unity and stability at a time of enormous change.
She has led at all times with a quiet determination and selfless devotion, and has been all that is the very best in us. While being Monarch she has raised a loving family whom she adored, and they her. As HRH Prince Philip the Duke of Edinburgh was to her, she has been our nation’s strength and stay.
We join the Royal Family and the nation in their grief and offer the Royal Family our heartfelt condolences.
There comes a day each September when you wake up and know the summer is over and autumn has arrived. The slant of the sun looks different and something is in the air–a coolness, a hint of frost. Now it is September, it also means we are now only a month away from our next production Calendar Girls. Rehearsals are going well, and the Director, Cast and Crew are all looking forward to putting on a great show for you. It is a very popular show, so early booking will be advisable. If you have not gotten your tickets yet, make sure you get them as soon as you can. Show Dates: 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th and 15th October.
HAG ROCKS! CHOIR
Our Hag Rocks! Choir held a very successful musical evening in July, raising money for local charity Step by Step. Our Concert included performances by the Ukulele Band of the Fleet U3A, and our in-house rock band Mid Life Crisis. A great evening was had by all! Next term starts on Sept 5th, when we will be working towards our popular Christmas Show, on Dec 9th and 10th at the Victoria Hall.
Please contact us if you are interested in joining our fun group in whatever capacity. Stay safe and take care.
