AUDITION NOTICE
3rd and 5th November, 8pm Jubilee Hall for our popular Dinner Theatre Murder Mystery production(4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 13 Feb 2016). Agatha Christie’s ‘Cards on the Table’: Mr. Shaitana is a strange and wealthy collector of snuff boxes and other objets d’art. One evening he invites two specialists, Superintendent Battle of Scotland Yard and crime novelist Ariadne Oliver, to a dinner party to view his special collection: four people who have committed murder and gotten away with it. As they play bridge after dinner, someone is daringly murdered by someone at the party. Battle sets out to solve the crime aided, of course, by the eager Mrs. Oliver who begins with psychological deductions from the bridge score cards. Red herrings, skeletons in the cupboard and more deaths abound! 7m/7f.

Play Read Announcements Aug/Sept 2015
All welcome – members or not.
Firstly, next Wednesday 26 August 20:00 Jubilee Hall we’re reading the play content for this year’s Christmas Show. The second ‘act’ of the show will be the ever-popular HAG Rocks! choir but the first act will be comprised of two ‘plays’. First up Charles Dickens’ The Signalman, a ghost story for Christmas (2 m, 30 minutes). Then A Christmas Carol – The Real Story (2 either, 10 minutes). We’re also re-reading sections of our February 2016 production of Agatha Christie’s A Murder is Announced this evening
Then on Wednesday 16 September 20:00 Edward Hall we’re reading Richard Bean’s One Man Two Guvnors (for 2016). Big cast for this riotously fun romp which you may have heard about via the very successful West End run with James Corden and latterly Rufus Hound in the lead role. Very ambitious but the script zings and all parts are rewarding.
