EVENING WITH AGATHA CHRISTIE FEB 21ST / 22ND
& 27TH / 28TH / 29TH
The evening will comprise two 1 Act plays. Cast members can opt to audition and
perform in both, or just one of the plays, as they will be rehearsed on
Tuesday rehearsals will be for “The
Rats” a tense thriller with 2F / 2 M cast. This will be
directed by Julie MacDonald, who is a long standing HAG member with a wealth of
experience, and fresh ideas to bring to the production
Thursday evenings we shall rehearse “Afternoon
at the Seaside”, a comedy set literally on a beach (perhaps a
first for HAG?) with a 5F / 6M cast list. All the parts are small in this one,
so no much learning involved! I will be having a go at directing this

Auditions are Tues 25th June, 8.00 in the Jubilee Hall, part of the Victoria Halls complex in Hartley Wintney.

Hag Rocks! Choir and a variety of entertainers present their annual charity concert. This year it is in aid of PARITY, a locally based charity which supports disabled teenagers and young adults. A very worthy cause I’m sure you’ll agree, so please come along and support our efforts. Tickets are only £10, and all profits will go to PARITY. We will offer our usual bar, refreshments, and there will be a raffle.
The Annual General Meeting of the private charitable company Hartley Arts Group will take place on Tuesday 18th June 2019 at 8.00 p.m. in the Jubilee Hall, West Green Road, Hartley Wintney.
It will be our usual evening, the meeting and then a social, wine, nibbles etc. Please do come along and here all our news, and have your say. We of your committee are all volunteers, and freely give our time to run your group, so if you can help in any way, or have any suggestions for us they are always welcomed, as are new committee members. All members and associate members are welcome to attend, but only fully paid up members are entitled to vote.
Lesley Parish has decided enough is enough ! After many years on the Committee she will be retiring so we are in need of a Secretary, and we are all very grateful for her time and energy.
So please consider if you can help us out here. Do get in touch if you can spare one evening a month for our meetings. We must find a Secretary or the group can’t run!

Come join Rene in his Café in wartime France, doing his best to survive amid the chaos caused by both the German Army, the Gestapo and the Resistance on his premises. Not to mention his turbulent relationship with his wife Edith, and his secret affairs with both Yvette and Mimi his waitresses! Oh then of course there is that priceless portrait, which all parties are plotting to gain, which Rene has hidden in his cellar. Rehearsals have been a laugh a minute, and our show promises a great night out!
