This gothic suspense and murder, penned by one of the greatest writers of the 19th century is brought to the stage by Constance Cox.  The novel was first serialised in 1859 to 1860 over a period of about 9 months.  It tells the story of the heiress, Laura Farilie, whose inheritance puts her life in danger and a doppelganger who innocently enables a vile murder plot to be put in motion.
