An exuberant comedy about four likely lasses from the Hull fish docks on a day trip to the races, from the author of Be My Baby

Work, love and life are just one long, hard slog for the fish-filleting foursome Pearl, Jan, Shelley and Linda.  But their fortunes are set to change when Linda finds tickets to Ladies’ Day at Royal Ascot the year it relocated to York.

Out go the hairnets, overalls and wellies as the four ditch work, do themselves up to the nines and head off to the races for a drink, a flirt and a flutter.  If their luck holds, they could hit the jackpot – and more besides…

Read-through\/ Social and Auditions<\/strong>

Our first show meeting will be the read-through which is a chance for anyone to just come along and join in the social aspect without any commitment to the show at all. 

Please do come down no matter what your interest may be.  Whether you would like to audition, play a role off-stage or are just interested in listening to a play read; no matter, you\u2019ll be welcome.  Got a friend that might be interested in the show?  Bring them along too\u2026the more the merrier.

Our auditions are very relaxed; no standing in front of panels and acting out prepared pieces.  Just come along and read for whichever part(s) you might be interested in.

Rehearsals<\/strong> – from Tuesday 19th March, every Tuesday and Thursday 8-10pm
Sunday rehearsals<\/strong> near to the show (probably two Sundays) TBA
